Marine Traffic AIS (real-time when in motion)
Predict Wind Iridium Go (every hour when on passage)
Gaia tracks (all past tracks [updated after each sail])
Meriwether’s AIS (Automatic Identification System) is enabled during all times of travel and is transmitting boat’s name, heading, speed, etc. to all nearby AIS-equipped-ships (required on all commercial ships), as well as land stations, in real-time. The AIS also receives the same information from all surrounding boats and displays that information to us, while we are sailing. It is an invaluable piece of our safety equipment onboard Meriwether. The Predict Wind map uses our Iridium Go (satellite phone) to log our location every hour via satellite messaging. We primarily use this only during longer passages to display our location and stay in communication with family when out of cell phone reception. (full screen)

Our Gaia map is a compilation of all our previous sailing tracks dating back to our very first sails. Only updated after each sail/weekend, but it is the most detailed. (full screen)
